Origin

XLML is the successor of the HTML based tool LML (Logical Markup Language), developed by the CG and HCI unit at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg.

The XHTML based version was initiated by FIM New Learning at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg for use in the project eL3.

XLML is published as open source under the GNU General Public License and free for use by everyone.
